Delete Your needitBY™ Account

Effective Date: September 11, 2026
Last Updated: September 11, 2026

This page explains how to delete your needitBY™ account, exactly what happens to your information when you do, and what we keep. You can delete your account from inside the app, or request deletion from this page if you no longer have the app installed. Both routes do the same thing.

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Your sign-in credential is deleted immediately, your personal information is overwritten, your open service requests are cancelled, and you will not be able to sign in again or recover anything.

If you only want to remove some of your information, see Section 5 — you do not have to delete your whole account.

1. Delete from inside the app

This is the fastest route and begins immediately.

  1. Open needitBY™ and sign in.
  2. Go to the HUB and tap the settings icon.
  3. Scroll to Account Actions and tap Delete account.
  4. Read the confirmation screen, then confirm your identity by signing in again. This step protects your account from deletion by someone with temporary access to your device.
  5. Confirm the deletion. You will be signed out as soon as it completes.

2. Request deletion without the app

If you have already uninstalled needitBY™, cannot sign in, or would rather not use the in-app route, email privacy@roarinsight.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request” and include:

  • the email address on the account
  • your needitBY™ username, if you remember it

We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address on the account before we proceed, so that nobody can delete an account that is not theirs. We acknowledge requests within 5 business days and carry out the deletion within 30 days. Once we do, everything in Section 3 applies, on the same schedule, as though you had deleted the account yourself.

3. What happens to your information

Deletion happens in two stages. Your personal information is removed or overwritten straight away. What remains of the account record is held for 90 days and then permanently deleted.

3.1 Immediately

  • Your sign-in credential is deleted and your email address is released. You can no longer sign in, and the address becomes available to register with again.
  • Your profile information is overwritten, not merely hidden: first and last name, email address, username, business phone number, about/bio, street address, ZIP code, saved coordinates, business name and description, job title, education, skills, service categories, hourly rate and years of experience. Your provider listing is deactivated, so you are no longer findable and cannot receive work.
  • Your profile photos are deleted from our storage — including any earlier photos you replaced during the life of the account.
  • Your open service requests are cancelled, and the Providers who had offered on them are notified, so nobody is left waiting on a request that can no longer go ahead.
  • Offers you submitted that nobody relied on are deleted outright — those still pending, and those already rejected or closed.
  • Your identity verification result is removed along with the rest of your profile. Your identity documents and biometric data were never held by us at all; you submitted them to our verification provider directly, and we only ever received the outcome.

3.2 After 90 days

A scheduled process runs every day and permanently deletes what is left:

  • the account record itself, including your blocked-users list, your notification and location-sharing preferences, and your ratings and completed-jobs counts
  • your saved listings
  • your username, which is released and becomes available to other users

Why the username waits. Your name stays reserved for as long as any record of your account exists, and returns to the pool only when the account genuinely goes. Releasing it on the day you delete would let someone else take a name that completed job records still refer to, at the moment it is most recognisable.

4. What we keep, and why

Some records are not ours alone to erase. Where a record is also another user’s history, we keep it and detach it from you, rather than deleting someone else’s account of their own dealings. In every case below, your name, photo and contact details have already been overwritten — the profile these records point to no longer identifies you.

  • Completed, expired and cancelled service requests, and offers that were accepted or completed. A Provider’s completed-jobs count and ratings are calculated from these records, and a Requester’s history of who worked for them depends on them too. Deleting them would rewrite another user’s record without that user having any say. They are kept and marked as belonging to a deleted account.
  • Message threads. Half of every conversation was written by the other participant, and it stays in their history in the same way an email you sent remains in the recipient’s inbox. Your messages remain attributed to a deleted account rather than to you by name.
  • City and state. Your street address, ZIP code and coordinates are all overwritten. City and state are kept as coarse, non-identifying location for aggregate statistics.
  • Correspondence with us. Emails you sent to our support or privacy addresses are retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Records we are legally required to keep. Where law obliges us to retain information — for example during a legal claim or investigation — we keep only what is required, for only as long as it is required, and the 90-day schedule above does not apply to it.

If you believe a record we have kept still identifies you, email privacy@roarinsight.com and we will look at it.

5. Deleting some data without deleting your account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove information. Inside the app you can edit or clear your profile details, remove your profile photo, deactivate your provider listing, cancel service requests you posted, and change your notification, location-sharing and blocking preferences at any time.

For anything you cannot change yourself, email privacy@roarinsight.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request” and tell us what you would like removed.

6. Your rights under privacy law

If you are a resident of California, the EU, the UK, or a US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have additional deletion and erasure rights, along with rights of access, correction and portability. Those rights, the addresses to use, and our response times are set out in Section 9 of our Privacy Policy.
